Contact usFree preliminary opinion
A SologoTM advisor screens the information you provide and explains the next practical step, usually within 2 business days.
No later standard fee
Your one-time price includes the official application fee and the standard official registration fee payable if TIPO approves the mark.
Local representation
Our Taiwan representative prepares the application and handles correspondence with the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO).
More than filing
When an initial review raises concerns, we can consider naming and design options before choosing what to file.
Start with a free preliminary search opinion
Tell us the mark and the goods or services you plan to offer. A SologoTM advisor sends an initial opinion, usually within 2 business days.
This initial opinion is informational and does not replace a comprehensive clearance search or legal advice. Registration cannot be guaranteed.
Comprehensive Trademark Risk Report
If deeper review is appropriate, your advisor may recommend a report prepared by a local Taiwan attorney. It is billed separately and starts only after you approve the fee.
- Deeper review of relevant earlier marks
- Goods and services overlap analysis
- Written risk reasons and filing recommendations
What is included in a Taiwan trademark application?
We agree on the mark, classes and designated goods or services before filing. Our standard price includes up to 10 items per class.
Ten items is our service scope
Ten designated goods or services per class are included in Sologo's standard service. It is not a legal limit. We quote any broader scope before filing; TIPO's official fee rules differ by class and item count.
Approval does not trigger another standard bill
TIPO charges a registration fee after approval. Our upfront price already covers that standard official fee if the mark is accepted and we complete registration.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to register a trademark in Taiwan?
Our standard price is US$450 for the first class and US$445 for each additional class. You pay once for the selected classes before filing. Up to 10 designated goods or services per class are included.
Are both official application and registration fees included?
Yes. The upfront standard price includes the official application fee and, if TIPO approves the mark, its standard official registration fee. We complete the standard post-approval payment without charging you another standard official fee.
Is the standard payment refunded if the application is refused?
No. If the application is ultimately not approved, the paid standard service price is not refunded. A registration fee is paid to TIPO only if the application reaches the registration stage; the upfront service price is still non-refundable.
Is the preliminary search opinion free?
Yes. A SologoTM advisor screens the information you provide and usually sends an initial opinion within 2 business days. No card is required and there is no obligation to file.
What does a deeper trademark risk report cost?
If useful, your advisor may recommend a US$100 Comprehensive Trademark Risk Report prepared by a local Taiwan attorney. It is optional, billed separately and begins only with your approval.
Why are only 10 goods or services included per class?
Ten items is the scope included in our standard service, not a Taiwan legal limit or the threshold for every official fee. TIPO has its own fee rules, including a different rule for some Class 35 retail services. We quote any broader scope before filing.
Do overseas applicants need a Taiwan representative?
An applicant with no domicile or business office in Taiwan must appoint a Taiwan-based trademark agent. We coordinate the filing through local representation and confirm the power of attorney and any translation needs before filing.
How long does a Taiwan application take?
TIPO publishes an eight-month processing target for a trademark registration application, excluding periods for corrections or responses. That is a processing measure, not a guaranteed registration date; objections or other steps can extend the case.
When can a Taiwan trademark be opposed?
A third party may oppose within three months after publication of a registered trademark. Opposition work is outside the standard filing scope and is quoted separately.
Can I file a word mark and a logo together?
A combined mark can be filed, but it protects that combined form. If the name and logo need independent protection, separate applications may be worth discussing before filing.
What if the initial opinion raises concerns about my mark?
We explain the initial concerns and can discuss name or design changes before choosing what to file. Further attorney review or design work is scoped and quoted separately.
