Plecto says its new identity will launch on October 6: a new logo, green palette, typography and the message “Outperform Now.” Its CEO describes performance as something a team can see, share and celebrate. That gives the refresh a sharper job than simply making a dashboard look modern: turn numbers into a sense of action.
The Plecto announcement says dashboards, data, integrations and settings will stay in place. The identity changes how the company presents the product, not what existing customers have to rebuild. The brand preview combines a nearly black field with bright green cues, product views and people in motion.
The green is an instruction, not just a color
In a performance tool, bright green can pull attention toward a result or next action. Used everywhere, it would lose that meaning. The preview works because the dark base lets the green select moments. That same discipline should carry through button states, charts and alerts so branding and usability reinforce one another.

What the dashboard reveals about the promise
Plecto’s product screenshots show leaderboards and live measures rather than a static reporting page. The new message is credible when a manager can turn a visible metric into a team conversation. A logo cannot create that behavior, but an identity can make the action easier to notice and remember.
The sales-contest interface is an especially useful touchpoint: people, scores and progress sit together. The visual system needs enough energy to encourage participation and enough restraint to keep the numbers legible.

A lesson for software brands with mascots
Plecto also says its Astro mascot is retiring. That is a consequential decision: the company is moving personality from a character toward product behavior, typography and color. Before dropping a mascot, a smaller SaaS team should ask where its friendliness will now live—in onboarding, language, interaction or customer stories.
If your software promise is about progress, test a compact wordmark on an actual dashboard. Use the brand kit generator to reserve accent color for meaningful states, then see the result in AI mockups across desktop and mobile.
